In Trieste accommodation is available against payment at the university residences in the Campus located in Piazzale Europa and some bed-sitters are available in the Urban residential area.
The monthly terms are set by the regional intervention plan.
From January 1 2007, households can deduct 19% of the rent paid for university accommodation form their tax revenues (up to a maximum amount of EUR 2,633.00), provided the university pole chosen is at least 100 km far from home and is located in a different province from the one where the student resides.

It is a service for students looking for rented accommodation and for landlords.
Contributions for accommodation
The ERDISU activities are not limited to the acquisition of available accommodation facilities. Each year in fact, beside the competition for assigning accommodation, through two notices of competitions financial contributions for supplementing the expenses borne to rent a housing unit in full autonomy in the town area are assigned to non resident students some.
All students attending the Giuseppe Tardini Conservatory are entitled to these contributions, provided they have the merit and income prerequisites set in the notice of competition.
To be eligible for contributions, students must sign a standard lease pursuant to law 431/1998 and must be the holders of the lease. Furthermore, it is necessary to submit, via a statement in lieu of a notary deed, the documentation concerning the place of the rented accommodation and the rent paid.
Two separate competitions are organised for getting the contributions: EUR 1,200.00 per year in favour of students having the merit and income prerequisites set for the grants and who do not benefit from any accommodation provided by the Erdisu because of unavailability, after submitting the relevant application; and EUR 600.00 per year in favour of the students having the merit and income prerequisites but for which less strict criteria are applied.
For information directly contact Erdisu.
